The dress below was designed and inspired by Lindt Chocolate's Signature Chocolate, "Carre De Stracciatella." This dress was created for the Lindt Chocolate Design Competition in partnership with the School of Fashion at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University) in 2014.
It features an eight-layer skirt made of cream and brown satin and tulle to symbolize the many layers within the chocolate. Brown satin ribbons are top-stitched along the skirt's edge to resemble the chocolate swirls found on the chocolate, and hand-cut and sewn petals with Swarovski crystals embedded between each flower represent the crunchy texture inside the chocolate. Among the six other finalists, this dress won first place.
